Hello,
I have just been hired as a Lead Oracle DBA by a new company whose IT infrastructure and services had been built and serviced by outsourced consultants.
The first task that I must do is to have a knowledge transfer with all the consultants that were involved in the setting up of the Oracle Database and Oracle11i Apps.
I have worked as a DBA in a large and small companies and all the guidelines and policies have already been set up, and I need not to worry about rules and regulations et al.
I have a fairly good idea as to what I need from the consultants to set up the business and database infrastructure. Would anyone have any advice or things I should ask them?? Your professional help will be appreciated.
