This is the deal. There is a databae that holds text. This text is a list of equipment in a floor plan for a supermarket, cases, stoves, checkout stands, etc. I want to export that data from CAD to Oracle and use it to create a Requisition.

Forgive me but I am still confused.
>There is a databae that holds text.
Is this an Oracle database?
>This text is a list of equipment in a floor plan for a supermarket, cases, stoves, checkout stands, etc.
If you can get this data into a flat text file, it SHOULD be a straightfoward operation to get it into Oracle.

It sounds like that you have some sort of "Purchasing" application which runs on top of Oracle.
If this application has the ability to "bulk load" into it, then you'll need to meet the requirements of this application.
Oracle in and of itself does NOT know what a "Requisition" is.
You should be talking to the application support folks at your company rather than fishing for a solution here.
