Hi

I have a problem installing Oracle 8i on a Windows 2000 Professional workstation. The workstation has Office 2000 Standard SR-1, McAfee VirusScan v4.5.0, Staffware 2000 Client, and Intellipoint. The CD loads the autorun splashscreen, but when the install option is selected nothing happens. I have looked at Task Manager and I can see the setup.exe loading but then it just dissappears after a few seconds.

Has anyone had a similar problem or that knows of a solution.

first install oracle 8i then install developer
in seperate directory.
