Hello,

i'm still new using Oracle.
my computer platform is win98
i'm using Personal Edition ORacle 8i for windows..
i'm trying to develope an application using ASP and when i'm trying to connect it with Oracle it returns error :
cannot resolve TNSnames .. something like that..
well, i tried to solve it with setting the configuration on Net8 Assistant.. but still can't work.. i tried to use the test service, (and already change the login) but still returns error :
TNS no listener..
but the listener is already set.. (i think..)
well, what i'm trying to ask is can somebody please help me with giving step by step solution ?

thanks

The listener isn't started correctly.

To start listener correctly, execute bin/lstnctr and then "stop" and "start" again.

Y listo, que lo disfrutes!!!!
