I am trying to install Oracle 8.1.6 on WNNT and the install program stops at "Installing Oracle Provider For OLE DB 8.1.6.0.0 Copying REFCUR.vdp"
It doesnt matter if I choose Typical Install or Minimum, or if I install just the client version. I have tried different CDs as well.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I had to completely uninstall Oracle, which included removing all entried from the registry. The error has to do with Microsoft OLE, so I figured the best way to get around the problem was to install Office 2000, I figured it would install Microsoft objects to the registry as well. Once that was installed and the computer was rebooted, the install continued past the error. Go figure... There's probably a more elegant solution available... but this did work. let me know how it goes
