Currently we are running Oracle version 8.1.7, and 9.2.0.5 on sun os 5.6 (32 bit).
I would like to upgrade the os to 5.9 (64 bit) to run 10g (64 bit).
What do I need to do with the current 32 bit oracle databases in order for them to run on the new 64 bit OS?
Do I need to install the 64 bit version of 9.2.0.5 & 8.1.7 and create new or migrate the existing databases? Or would I just have to relink the 32 bit oracle software and then would the 32 bit oracle software run on the 64 bit os?
