Hi,
would u tell me how to know a particular Oracle Instance on a System in which there are more than one Instances are running?

Hi,
Look in your "oratab" file. This file is probably located in your /etc or /var/opt/oracle directory. Use the ". oraenv" command to switch between database instances.
