Hi !
I'm looking for a simple explanation about Oracle
process ans sessions.
I know that process it's not hard to trace, (get name,
state of the process, and all other values (kernel or proc file system),
so I'm wondering if:
It's the same with Oracle sessions ?
What mean if the output of ps -ef on some box return:
oracleXXXXXXXXX (LOCAL = NO). What mean LOCAL=NO. Is this only a Cluster output ? Correct me if I'm wrong ->
session begin when a user conect to a database and i's not a classic proces.
Are this Sessions (??) have the same characteristic as the process ?
Example :
Are datas of Oracle SID in any other file ? Must be used any other structure /C++/ to trace the sesion ?
It's possible to get any example in C/C++ ?
Regrads,
Primoz
