We want to develop an interface program to automate the PO Receiving process in our 11.5.8 instance. But the PO's are for SERIALIZED inventory items (serialized at receipt). My developer tells me that the Oracle PO Receiving API cannot handle serialized items.
Can anyone confirm this?
More importantly, does anyone have any workarounds so that we can close the PO and add the serialized items to inventory?

Yes, your developer is right. In the Manufacturing Open Interface Manual, it mentions that "The Receiving Open Interface does not support: Serial numbering"
You could try a Miscellaneous Issue out of Inventory(without serial number) and a Miscellaneous Receipt into Inventory (with Serial Numbers)
