Hi,
did u install the gnumake in your windows 2000 server. This is one of the
preinstall steps. First download the make-3.77.tar from www.gnumake.org and
extract it in your system. if u done it, then check whether the link.exe
file is existing in your gnumake folder. if the file exist in the make
folder, check the command with "which link" in the command prompt.
It must return passitive result. otherwise, add the path of the file in the
environment variable PATH. and copy the link.exe file in mksnt folder and
jdkbin folder also.
And check the rapidwiz once again,
Thanks & regards,

Hi,
Thank You for your response.
I did install mks,Visual C++,gnumake.
I even tested the "which link" at command prompt it displayed "microsoft visual studiovc98bin/link.exe"
I had placed all the above and jdk in the system path also. Iam still not able to know why i got the following error.
System Utilities Check
running command : cmd.exe /c F:stage1155redCDDisk1rapidwizbincheckutil.cmd d:mksmksnt d:microsoft visual studioVC98
F:stage1155redCDDisk1rapidwiz>echo off
'which' command is available.
'gnumake' is available.
'cc' is available.
'link' is not available.
ERRORCODE = 1 ERRORCODE_END
Error - System Utilities Availability test has returned an error: 1
If possible pl help me.
Thank U

Hi friend,
well, You made a mistake while u install the vc++.
You r not suppose to give the spaces inbetween the installation folder name like "Microsoft Visual Studio". You must eliminate the spaces in the folder name. You have to install vc++ again with these setup.
and try one more time. It'll work surely.
Thanks & regards,

Guys!
I have been able to install 11i on windows 2000 successfully , plus on Pentium IV.
The trick which worked for me was :
Search for the file named "symcjit.dll" in your Staging directory. I think there are about ten files , aint sure about the number , just do a plain search.
Just rename the extension of these files to something "symcjit.fix" so that Oracle installer doesnt get these files.
start rapidwiz again
Boom ! it will show up bringing a smile on ur face.
Hope this works .
Plus make sure you have set up ur variables ,especially gnumake and MKS Toolkit related , coz rapidwiz will check upon them to do the installation further .
Rapidwiz ,afak, doesnt have to do with any variable settings as per, only with the dll which i mentioned .
The variable probes u peepz r mentioning are for the installation steps in rapidwiz not for rapidwiz itself.
Hope this works for ya !

Hi,
I installed oracle 11i, version 11.5.5.
Finally i received "DBC file was not created" in the "DBC File CHECK". Following "JSP Check" failed due to non-avilability of DBC file.
Could any one tell me, how to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance.
