I would like to get into OSFM (shop floor), what would you recommend the steps/training I should take? Would studying the user guide be enough to learn it, how about implement it? My background is in DBA and some overview of Apps.

Hai,
U want implement/understand OSFM(shopfloor), u should have expereice in Manufacturing Industry, else u should have some exp. in oracle Appliations in earlier verisons for shop floor management. If you gothrough only user guide it gives some information. better u take training for OSFM. any way u r saying u r DBA and some exp. in Apps u have

There is a CBT training available on oracle financials & manufacturing.If you take training in Manufacturing you will know basics of OSFM
