How can i build a connection string in Pro*c

EXEC SQL CONNECT :Username IDENTIFIED BY :Userpass AT DB_NAME USING :DBname;

 

wat should i supply in DBname ..suppose if the database name is ABC and server name is def on which it is lying!!!

Dear Friend,

You can also connect by this way.

Construct VARCHAR string like this username/passwd@server_name

server_name you will find in tnsnames.ora.

After constructing string , just say

EXEC SQL CONNECT :connectstring ;

That's it
