Hi, i have installed ora client 8.1.7 on suse 8.2.
but i can't compile the samples with pro*c.
there are many problems with the header-files.
can anyone tell me, how it works?
ora 9.0.2 on suse 8.2 works fine
ora 8.1.7 on suse 7.0 works also fine!
ora 8.1.7 on suse 8.2 don't work!?!

Hello,
please note that Pro*C and Oracle require special
OS releases - For example in case of SuSe Oracle
supports only SLES7 and SLES8 (UnitedLinux 1)
Suse X.X Professional etc is not supported
Has this issue with a customer - depenads on
kernel - he had 2,4,22 - and I 2,4,19 :-(
