hi,
am working on a project related to DW. We are making a Decision Support System for the university.I am new to this course Data warehousing so i would like some help in identifying constraints on the system asap.

Hi,
Your questions is really simple but its very lengthy,
To start with....Once you get the BRS/BRA then u need to sit with DBA-Arch and the System Arch and decide whether u need the hi-end servers or not, beyond that you need to know the Whether the Data is kept for how many months. Whether the Data is Transaction sensitive or not ! If so whats the rate/volume per day. Then you need to draw a schema based on BRS/BRA, SRS and form Business rules then decide whether it has to have what kind of Schema "Star" or "Snowflake"
Well it keeps on going..do let me know what is the core cause for the DW env ?
I've expressed very few things ...Let me know if u need any further help.
