Hi, is there any white paper that outline the differences in performance between materialize views and snapshots, I know there are some other advantages in using materilize views that could help me with performance like query rewrite, but I wonder if the basic functionality between an snapshop and a matelize view will get the same performance.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Sincerely

Hi Rafael,
As far as I know,
Oracle revamped the entire string of procedures required to operate Snapshots into one as Materialized view.
I don't think there is a difference at all as far as Oracle Engine is concerned.

Hope this helps
Sincerely
Madhav
