Hey gr8 to know that u r interested in JAVA.
To statr with you can buy the JAVA 2complete Reference by Patrik Naughton and Herbdt Scidt.
If you r already good at C++ then you can try core JAVA vol 1 & 2.
for more deapth you can refer to O'rielly series which has a host of books on this topic.
