Hi,
Our client has come up with a suggestion that out of the avilable 8 CPU's on the server, he wants to allocate 2 to one database and 4 to another. I know, the parameter cpu_count can be used to control the number of CPU's available to your database/instance. But , is it advisable to go ahead and change the CPU_count to 4 on one and to 2 on the other database?
It is ususally advised not to alter this parameter.
Does any one have any idea on the repercussions of such a change?
