i want to print a matrix report from an emp table containg
emp no,empname,sal,job,deptno.
the report should look as follows
Dept no:10
Job:clerk
empno ename sal
1 xyz 1000
2 qqq 111
Total 1111
job:manager
empno ename sal
1 xyz 2000
2 qqq 222
Total 2222
dept total 3333
Dept: 20
Job:clerk
empno ename sal
1 xyz 1000
2 qqq 111
Total 1111
job:manager
empno ename sal
1 xyz 2000
2 qqq 222
Total 2222
Dept total 3333
Please reply its very urgent

Hi Usha,
follow the given steps to make the required report in group matrix form.
use report wizard, select group matrix in style tab, place required query in data tab, then select deptno for groups tab, and empno, ename, sal in row tab. Then select job in column tab. and select any rest of the item for cell tab. and run ur report. as ur report will run firstly in live previewer, delete cell field from here, u will get the required format of report.
But it will be much easy to use Group Above option to build this kind of reports.
