dear scott,
thanks for ur help..but i was not able to get a solution..i chnaged the form method to "get" as u had mentioned. but it did not work. u had also asked me to look into "Oracle's support page for bug fix #680974. "..but i would be happy if u cud find some time in sening me the url at which i can get information about the same. i tried searching at OTN and also at oracle's metalink site for the above bug number..but i am not able to get it. pls help..

I couldn't find it either. I guess Oracle has purged it from their database. Keep in mind this was an issues for us back in 1998 and with IE 4.0.
You might want to contact them directly to retrieve the bug information.
