i have an Oracle Forms 6i application connected to a oracle8i. how to use this application in intranet. i heard we can run using net8 configuration. how to connect this application to a remote oracle 8i database using net8 config.

Hi

If you have a oracle 8i server installed in your pc then you can access your forms 6i application from a client machine.

First you have to install Forms6i runtime in the client PC, after installation you need to do net8 easy configuration ( U will find in startup menu, your d2k folder)

You need to give a service name, your database SID and your setup is done.
