My question involves forcing a log on when a form starts up. The form I'm working on has no data block, simply needs to be provide a way to select a report to run. the report has the query embeded.

I need to force a logon and detect the user. Is there a form setting which specifies that a log on is required? I'm using 10g developer suite. Ultimately I'm not even sure that this is necessary, doesn't oracle require a log on when a form is run anyay?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

you should use on-log on trigger on the form for the user checking..
