Hi,
I have a control block in which i have a text item for DEPTNO. i also have EMP datablock. The requirement is that, after entering a department number in the control blocks DEPTNO, the cursor may move out of that item to any other item or block using keyboard or mouse. Which trigger should i use to execute a query on EMP block for the respective department?

you can use post-text-item or the post-change trigger
