Pls explain the difference between find_canvas and find_view builtins in developer 6i.

canvas is kind a object
view is a definition of the range of the canvas you want it to be visible.

find canvas is used to find a canvas(-name) [[object]].
you might have items on canvas wich are not shown in the view. so with the the find view option you cannot reach the item on the canvas.
see the view as a extended object of a canvas
