Yeah, call me a dinosaur, call me anything you want but we still have significant numbers of "rpt" (Sql*Report) scripts in our application.
Worked with Oracle 6, 7, 8i but not with 9i. The database connection just hangs.
Would love to convert them all but don't have the time within migration project timescales. If *anybody* has managed to get rpt to work with 9i any advice on how would be gratefully received.

Seems we've found the problem.
Have had to change the character set back to US7ASCII... seems that other character sets don't work with rpt.
