Poplist with extraneous spaces [message #81279]

I have a poplist in my form which has the elements hardcoded at design time. During runtime, the box has extra empty fields at the end, so the picklist is much longer than it should be, with too much white space at the bottom. Another posting to this list suggested setting the Required property to "Yes" in order to fix the problem, but this doesn't seem to help.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to get rid of the extra lines?

there is a keycombintions for deleting rows in poplist wich i dont remember now ofcourse :)
but it was something like shift+ctrl+pagedown or shift+ctrl+ -
