hi!

you can use same LOV in multiple items just set the properties of item to that LOV but when you are using same LOV but you have to filter your LOV by your inputs i thinks u can't.

I got the solution In lov instead of lookup fields as the block fields u give something as global.itemname or parameter.itemname.Then in the show_lov u can use by checkin which item is currently havin cursor and assign the global or parameter value to the field accordingly.

can u share with me how u used the global variables to use this in the parameter of your LOV. Did you used it in your record groups. How u put value in the global and how you used it in your LOV. Please share because that's the great idea.

thanks

Which "solution", exactly? If you open item's Property Palette, there's the LoV section - put that LoV's name into it, and it (the LoV) will be used for all those items.

Thanks you for your valuable time littlefoot.

1.I was expecting a solution for creating one lov for multiple items.
2.It seems it's possible with global variable(Instead of returning the value from lov directly to the block item , return it to global variable).
3.However based on the current/cursor record show the LOV and get return value into global variable and then pass it to the database block item to save into the database.
4. I did 3-4 years back but i forgot now...

Thanks you once again @Littlefoot for helping each and every member with your skills

So you want identical looking LOVs that are attached to different items?
I'd just create multiple LOVs, it'll be simpler, you can use the same record group for all of them.
