While installing developer 6 (where already personal oracle 8.0.3 is installed), I gave different oracle home (D:orawin95 - original home is C:orawin95). It gives the message 'By changing the oracle home to D:orawin95 some of the already installed products will not work'..
If allowed to conitune the installation procedure, it changes the home and asked whether to change entry in autoexec.bat. Even after giving yes, the installation was not through and already installed SQL*Plus was not working.. Then I again changed the oracle home back to C:Orawin95 and then SQL was working. How to go about installation of DEV 6. Is the setting for listner has to be done afer installation?

Dev. 6 directly support (On the same PC) from oracle database rel 8.05 which is for NT. If u want to install on Windows 98 then install personal oracle 8i with dev 6.
