Have installed personal oracle 8i and Forms6i in different Oracle homes. PO8 is working fine, but when i try to connect forms6i to the database, it cannot connect saying that TNS: error unable to connect to the database.
I tried one of the solutions of copying the tnsnames.ora and sqlnet file from the home of Personal oracle to forms 6i(net80admin). But even that solution does'nt work.
Am I doing something wrong. Please help

Are you on standalone or you in network, if in standalone then go to net8 easy config and create a local databse service which connects to ur database with Oracle SID, then use that service name as the connect string while loggging into forms
