has anyone tried to create a snapshot  predicated on Oracle 7 tables for use in a 9i instance?

Can it be done?

Hi,

Unfortunately not. Oracle 7 and 9/10 cannot talk across DBLinks. You should get error: ORA-24439: Connections to Oracle7 server are no longer supported.
