Hello,
IHAC who wants to import data into a raw device based database. The export was done from a filessystem database. The problem they have is, the imported data in the raw device database needs the doublesize in the tablespaces. Why?

Hi,
I don't understand what you are trying to say. You can import and export to databases despite how their datafiles are managed - filesystem, RAW or ASM - it does not matter!
Best regards.

Hello,
there were no changes in the create scripts for the database, just the switch from filesystem to raw device. For know we have tested it twice.
1. create the database with filesystem and import, everything was as expected,
2. create database with raw devices and import, every tablespace needs double size as on filesystem.
It is Suse Linux with Oracle 9.2 .
