I have exported data from oracle 9.2 database.

How to import that data to oracle 8i database ?

use the lower version to do export and same lower version to import (8i in your case).
else
if u want to use an 9i imp tool to import into 8i database, u need to install ( run catexp.sql of 9i) the export/import views of 9i into 8i database.
