Can user tables exported from a Oracle8i database on an Alpha Open VMS system be imported to a Oracle8i database on a Windows box?

Yes. I believe I zipped the file on VMS, ftp'd it binary, and unzipped on Windows, and it was fine. Of course, you still have the standard version issues to contend with, but the only real problem was how to get the export file across.
