you have to make an entry in client side tnsnames.ora file for the same database. i.e. SQL net easy configuration
if home c:orawin95
it is c:orawin95networkadmintnsnames.ora

I get this error since I have installed forms 6i.
It had install sql plus 8(Oracle 8 for NT).
Both came in 1 cd.
But sql plus 8 never worked.
does it reqiure SP 2 for windows?

Then I install oracle 9i.
But I can't make connection from forms 6i to oracle 9i.

Any suggestions

Reply please.

hi,
as suggested "tarun".
check your tnsnames.ora file for
"you have to make an entry in client side tnsnames.ora file for the same database".

because you have more than one tnsnames.ora file on client system.

regards
Taj
