i have this ascii file:

field1&#124field2&#124field3&#124field4

1020&#124COMPANY&#124USA&#124LA

54132&#124SCHOOL&#124EUROPA&#124LONDRA

5464&#124GOVERN&#124ASIA&#124ISTANBUL

my table

create table deneme

(

o_field1 NUMBER(20),

o_field2 VARCHAR2(20)

)

i want to insert  field1 and field3 same column and field2 and field4 same column to my table.i mean:

SQL> select * from my_table;

o_field1                     o_field2

________                  _________

1020 USA                 COMPANY LA

54132 EUROPA        SCHOOL LONDRA

5464 ASIA                GOVERN ISTANBUL

how do i must write control file.

Hi,
You can simply create a Temporary table with Cols Field1,2 3 & 4 & load data into it.
Then from Temp table populate your table as follows:

Insert into my table values(Feild1||feild2,Feild3||feild4);

but my datafiles are very big,
each of my datafiles is between 100 MB and 400 MB.
it is not effective
