Hi,
Can somebody please anticipate how long it would take to transfer 1/2 million (500000) records using SQL*PLUS COPY? ORACLE docs mention only 3 SET commands as pre-reqs for this. SET ARRAYSIZE, SET COPYCOMMIT and SET LONG. Are these sufficient?
The destination table already exists, therefore I want to make sure noting goes wrong. I am thinking of using a temp table. Is there a specific way to do this?
How is this (just moving a table's data) done in mission critical applications or production databases?
