I am needing to create a data base of test. I have the archive dmp of the production base (Oracle 8i). As I must proceed to carry through this import. Already I have a machine with win2000 and oracle 8i installed?

Hi,
you need a installed base of Oracle 8i on your preffered platform.
export takes only the data and the structure of the tables and tablespaces, not the software itself.
