Hi,

I am facing a problem when I try to make input a database which has been
done export from Oracle 8 0.5 and the system Solaris in Oracle 9i and the
system Windows XP.
My problem is presented as below:
-------------------------------
Export file created by EXPORT:V08.00.05 via conventional path
import done in EL8MSWIN1253 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
import server uses EL8ISO8859P7 character set (possible charset conversion)
export client uses EL8ISO8859P7 character set (possible charset conversion)
export server uses EL8ISO8859P7 NCHAR character set (possible ncharset
conversion)
. importing SYSTEM's objects into SYSTEM
. importing E_PROT_DL's objects into E_PROT_DL
IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 1861:
" ALTER TABLE "ALMERI" MODIFY ("LASTDATE" DEFAULT '1900-01-01' )"
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 1861 encountered
ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
-------------------------------------
Do you have any informations handling with my problem?
Any help would be really valuable and necessary!!

i believe, this is becuase of incompatibility of dates.
use the lower version of export (805 in this case) to do the export from source.
and use same lower version of import (805 ) to load the dump file into 9i database.
before exporting
make sure you have set the nls parameters (nls_date_format) to what ever format you want it in the target database.
and also set nls parameters before importing.
