Hi... Have a problem importing... I created a dmp file on a different server and am trying to import the file. I am logging on as sysdba but am getting the message:
Connected to: Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.0.0 - Production
With the Partitioning option
JServer Release 8.1.7.0.0 - Production
Export file created by EXPORT:V08.01.07 via direct path
IMP-00013: only a DBA can import a file exported by another DBA
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully

The DB could be empty ? so userid is invalid.
Use a valid user ( Oracle )with IMPORT_FULL_DATABASE role.

I had this same problem. The user that is doing the import needs to have imp_full_database and needs to have this as a default role. Mine wouldn't work without the role being a default role.
