HI guys/gurus...
I am a newbie in oracle with a problem at present about import/export.
HOw would it be possible to do a full dump export of a database (including all its tablespaces) and import this dump file onto a different database name ?
ie: under 1 oracle SID, I export database 'test' into a file called 'test.dump', I would like to be able to import this 'test.dump' into a new database called 'test2'.
I have in mind the following steps:
1. export database 'test'
2. create a new database 'test1', assign tablespace to it
3. **do something with the test.dump' so that it will import it into database 'test1'.
can someone help ? thanks in advance.
