Hi:
I'm yangqi from China. I'm a freshman of Oracle DBA. I have some questions
about imp/exp.
I have created a db with the name inst in Oracle 8i, and userid/passwd
inst/inst. And it is necessary to import all data of inst to another db in
Oracle 9i, which has a different db name. I exported the db of inst, but it
failed to import to another db. The error message lists below:
D:SSZUTCInsight2ActuateDatabase>imp iardev/iardev@o02cds0
file=expdat.dmp fro
muser=inst
Import: Release 8.1.6.0.0 - Production on Fri Sep 20 10:57:56 2002

Connected to: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Oracle Data Mining options
JServer Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production
Export file created by EXPORT:V08.01.07 via conventional path
Warning: the objects were exported by INST, not by you
import done in WE8ISO8859P1 character set and UTF8 NCHAR character set
import server uses US7ASCII character set (possible charset conversion)
IMP-00069: Could not convert to environment national character set's handle
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully
Can you help me? Thank you in advance!
Regards!
yangqi
