I have a dump file from an oracle 8.17 database created by using the oracle 8.17 export. I need to get this data into an oracle 8.06 database. Can I use import? When I try using the 8.17 import I get the following error messages:
IMP-00003:Oracle ERROR 2248 ENCOUNTERED
ORA-02248: invalid option for ALTER SESSION
IMP-00000: import terminated unsuccessfully

for this you have to run the script first named exp7..sql b'coz ypi want to import the data to the previous version so first run the file exp7..sql(if am not sure about the name of the file) and then import the data back to the 8.1.6
