Hi guys.
I know this question was asked a little while ago but the advice offered on that thread didn't help for my error. Basicaly, I'm a recent graduate of a school which provided us with oracle 8 and I know how to use it however when it comes to the backend stuff(go to regedit, set oracle_sid, etc), I know absolutely nothing.
Basically, I get the error ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adaptor error after trying to sign in to oracle.
I'm running Win 2000 and my ORACLE_SID is currently listed as "scott".
If it's possible could someone please give me step by step instructions in where to go to fix this. I have my first job interview since graduating school on Friday and he wants to see some of the work I've done with oracle and I'm getting a little nervous that I won't have it fixed in time. I would be most appreciative.
Thanks in advance.
-Ryan
