I have taken export of database (version 8.0.3.0) and importing in oracle8i version 8.1.5.0 while importing it is not giving any error but after finish when i am checking database most of the table not in the database.so what is the problem is it due to version export file is not compatible to importing database or what.If it is due incompatible then what to do to import this same export file.

You have to use the higher version for both.

on the 8.1.5 DB:

exp system/manager@803db...

then import using 8.1.5. The 803db entry would be in your tnsnames.ora and point to your 8.0.3 DB from the 8.1.5 server.

Sorry you did it right. When going up you should be able to export using 8.0.3 and then import with 8.1.5. The only problem I see is there is no 8.0.3 listed in MetaLink "Compatibility Matrix for Export & Import Between Different Oracle Versions". It starts with 8.0.4 from 7.x. You might want to contact support on this one.
