Hello,
I would like to know if the export utility lock table ?
I have a ERP and would like to know if using export during office hour (not specialy peak hour) could bring the erp down ?

Export doesn't set an exclusive lock. If you use CONSISTENT=Y it will do a "SET TRANSACTION READ ONLY" but still will not lock the tables. If you use CONSISTENT=Y you could get an "ORA-1555 snapshot too old (rollback segment too small)" error when doing a long running export.
