hi there!!!!!!!!
how do i reinstall and reconfigure the agent....
on oracle 9.0.1.1 running on linux 7.2

you mean intelligent agenT?
install it from the CD.
to start it as
lsnrctl dbsnmp_start

actually the intelligent agent is not running and i cannot find the snmp_ora and snmp_rw files....this means i cannot use the OEM as i cannot connect to the management server
