dear sir,
could you help me to answer a question?
you install oracle for both client and server ,the default configuration order for name resloution using keywords onames,hostnames,and tnsnames is maintained.which of the follwing choice identifies where oracle will prefer to look first in order to reslove a database connection?
A. tnsnames
B. host naming
C. oracle names
D. net8 assistant

and I think the answer is A,but the referencde answer is B. which is the correct answer?

sir,

the default method the oracle using is local naming method.if you want to use the local naming methos then there are two conditions.one is
you should use the tcp/ip and the port no is 1521.

but we can specify the method order in sqlnet.ora file.
