thanks for the information,i could resolve the naming service error after renaming the symcjit.dll to .old,i got the net8 assistant working and soon i could configure the domain,host and port and i am able to work.
thanks for the help.i dont think there is any proble with the processor,it is the dll file which was not compliant with either p4 processor or windows ME or both.
