i increased the size my db_block_buffer in the database
but i noticed that my performance of shared pool degraded immediately. is it necessary to increase the
shared pool size if we increase db_block_buffer size
how are they related ?

Hi,
for every 4 data buffers there will be 1k overhead. But i don't think that will have such a impact. What for your system is waiting. You can trace the system and find out where you system is waiting.
