hi all
Oracle 9.2 version /AIX 5L
I am getting ORA 1089 error while database is in SHUTDOWN IMEEDIATE mode. Though i am able to work through other instance bt i m not able to either shutdown the instance . It is giving ORA 1089 - in shutdown immediate mode, no operation possible.
Accidently i had closed the window/session in which i had given the oracle command perhaps because of which i am getting the message. In AIX
ps -aef commaand i m getting oracle processes still running.
Should i perform shutdown ABORT....
will it require media recovery.....
tell me ASAP
