Hi,

is it possible to configure (find out about) the current setting of the connection timeout (Oracle Version 8.1.7).
Is this Timeout set for the entire database or can it be set for each user/schema ?
I was not able to get this information anywhere.

to set for individual users u need to create a profile with IDLE_TIME set.

And assign this profile to the particular user.
